From simple components to total systems, IMT Solar has numerous products and resources for the educational community.
This is our silicon irradiance sensor connected to a digital multimeter to test solar irradiance levels. This is the same calibrated, high quality sensor used around the world as part of solar PV performance monitoring systems. However we have this one self powered via an internal Li-ion battery, calibrate it so the output is 1 mV per 1 watt per square meter of irradiance, and package it with a set of test leads that will connect to your existing lab multimeters. The photo shows the sensor output of 790 mV which equates to 790 w/sq. m.
Numerous schools and colleges, are already using these sensors in labs in which their students conduct studies of the impact of tilt angle and azimuth on the solar irradiance that a PV module would see.
